Light Commercial HVAC Technician Apprentice – South Florida Region
We are seeking a motivated Light Commercial HVAC Technician Apprentice to join our South Florida team. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and service. You will work alongside experienced technicians, learning the skills needed to advance in the trade.
Job Type & Schedule
- Monday-Friday 8 AM – 5PM
- Flexibility for on-call and finish expected
- 40-60 hrs/week
Compensation
$18-20 per hour
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of light commercial HVAC systems
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues under the guidance of senior technicians
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures while working on job sites
- Help with equipment setup, material handling, and job site preparation
- Complete training assignments and actively participate in on-the-job learning opportunities
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including company vehicles and job sites
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure high-quality service
Requirements
- Strong interest in learning the HVAC trade; previous hands-on experience is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in varying environmental conditions
- Willingness to complete training programs and obtain necessary certifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and willingness to follow instructions
- The ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly with or without an accommodation
- Comfortable with climbing ladders and scaffolding
